Adopt a Dog From The Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA
1. Visit the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA website at www.aawl.org, and roll over "Adoptable Pets" at the top of the page. From the menu that appears, click "Adoptable Dogs."
2. Browse through the dogs available for adoption. Click on an individual dog's picture for more information about that pup.
3. Contact the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA at 602-273-6852 to start the adoption process.
Adopt a Dog From The Arizona Humane Society
4. Visit the Arizona Humane Society's website at www.azhumane.org, and roll over "Find a Pet" at the top of the page. From the menu that appears, click "View Adoptable Pets."
5. Click "Dogs" to view the adoptable dogs and puppies.
6. Browse through the dogs available for adoption. Click on an individual dog's picture for more information about that specific dog.
7. Find a location to adopt a dog at by rolling over "Find a Pet" at the top of the page, and clicking "Adoption Info and Fees" from the drop down menu. Click "Hours & Locations" under the Quick Links section to the left of the page.
8. Find an adoption site that is conveniently located and call the site to find out more information about dog adoption. Phone numbers and addresses are listed for each site on the webpage.
Purchase a Dog Through an Arizona Breeder
9. Visit the Dog Breeder Directory at www.dogbreederdirectory.com. Click "Arizona" on the list of states that appears on the site's homepage.
10. Browse through the breeders on the site, paying attention to the descriptions of what breed of dogs each offers.
11. Click on an individual breeder's website to find out more about that breeder and contact him or her.
