Many teenagers get their first job experiences doing part-time work. Finding a "fun" job depends on the individual's personality, and there are plenty of opportunities available.

Consider your hobbies. For the motorcycle enthusiast, a job at a motorcycle dealership may be ideal. Instead of a job as a sales representative, you may find an entry-level position available. This may include a job as a desk clerk, answering phones or picking up parts for the repair shop. For every hobby, there is a store or shop. Consider seeking out those places you find yourself going to on your own. If the place interests you, the job may too.

For some, the ideal "fun" job is relaxing. Teenagers often deal with plenty of stress at school. So, some might seek a place to decompress. Consider two polar opposites: the library and a gym. Libraries have quiet, relaxing atmospheres. Often, student employees have time between shelving books and checking out patrons to do a little homework. And references are at libraries, which can be a help with homework. On the other end is a gym. While it's a place of high physical energy, people go there to decompress. And, working at a gym is likely to include benefits of using the equipment. Think about those places that make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Where Do You Go For Fun?
Consider seeking employment at those places where you go to have fun such as amusement parks and movie theaters. If you like to be outdoors, a pool job may be for you. And if you like animals, consider working at the zoo. Perhaps then your part-time job will lead to a career opportunity.
