Remove Ink From A Cabbage Patch Face

Liquid soap can be used to clean ink from your Cabbage Patch Kid.

Originally created by Xavier Roberts in 1978, Cabbage Patch Kids are commonly associated with the 1980s, when they reached the peak of their popularity. As a child's toy, a well-loved Cabbage Patch Kid is bound to encounter a variety of stains, including ink. If you have a Cabbage Patch Kid with an ink stain on its face, there are steps you can take to clean it off so that your doll will look as good as new.

Instructions

1. Dampen a clean cloth with water and a liquid soap such as dish detergent or shampoo.

2. Wipe the ink-stained areas of the Cabbage Patch Kid's face with the soapy cloth. You may need to rub hard if the stain is old or particularly stubborn.

3. Use an old toothbrush to reach a stain within a crevice that is hard to reach. After scrubbing, wipe down the doll's face with a second clean cloth to dry it.

4. Employ a stain eraser pad to scrub the stained area if a cloth or toothbrush has not succeeded in eliminating the stain. These erasers are made to get rid of difficult stains that other products were unable to remove.

5. Consider sending your doll to a professional doll hospital for cleaning if you are unable to remove the ink stain on your own. Look for a reputable doll hospital that has experience working with Cabbage Patch Kids. You may want to ask for references to verify that the hospital does high-quality work.
