Erase Ds Saved Files

Erase DS Saved Files

The Nintendo DS is capable of saving files to the system memory or an SD card. These files are usually saved games or additional software for the Nintendo DS. The DS has a limited amount of system memory. It may be necessary to delete files from the system memory or SD card to free up room for other files. It is possible to erase saved files on the DS through the system settings of the handheld.

Instructions

1. Insert the SD card into the slot on the Nintendo DS. You only need to do this if the saved file you want to erase is stored on an SD card.

2. Turn on the Nintendo DS.

3. Select "System Settings" from the DS menu.

4. Select "Data Management" from the system settings menu. This is the first option.

5. Select the "System Memory" tab to delete files from the Nintendo DS system memory. Select the "SD Card" tab to delete files from an SD card. A list of saved files on the system memory or SD card will appear.

6. Select the saved file you want to erase from the list. A prompt will appear.

7. Choose "Delete" from the prompt and confirm you want to delete the file. The saved file will be immediately erased from the system memory or SD card of the Nintendo DS.
