The Sims" is an extremely popular computer game series that has spawned several sequels and spinoffs. Each version of the game has its own line of expansion packs that add additional content and gameplay options. "The Sims 2: Pets" is an expansion pack for "The Sims 2" that allows you to purchase and play with different types of animals in the game. Although the game does not include a horse, you can download one from the user-created-content communities online.
Instructions
1. Visit ModTheSims.info and click "Register" to create a new account. Fill in the required fields to create a username and password, and click "Submit."
2. Click "Downloads" in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Select "the Sims 2" from the options that appear.
3. Enter "horse" in the search box on the left side of the screen and press "Enter."
4. Navigate through the search results and click on the horse that you want to install in your game.
5. Click the "Download" button, located beneath the screenshots. Save the downloaded file to your desktop, or another location where you can easily find it. You may want to create a new folder for the files if you plan to download multiple files.
6. Double-click on the downloaded file and extract the contents. The files will have a ".package" file extension.
7. Highlight all of the .package files and press "CTRL" and "A" to copy them.
8. Locate your "Sims 2" Downloads folder. This is usually located in "Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\." Open the Downloads folder and press "CTRL" and "V" to paste the files into the folder.
9. Load "The Sims 2." Click on the game options button and click the radio button next to "On" under "Catalogs Display Custom Content." Close the Options window and restart the game. Your horses should now be available in "Buy" mode.
