Register With Avid Microchip Usa

The mircochip is generally place in the nape of the animals neck.

AVID Microchips are electronic identification chips that are implanted into an animal, usually a cat or dog. The microchips do not harm or hurt the animal and are almost impossible to alter. A vet or animal shelter staff can implant and scan the chips. Pet owners can register their contact information with AVID's database, known as PETtrac. These microchips can be used to reunite lost pets with their owners, but it is important to register with the PETtrac database and update any changes in address. The initial fee to register a pet is $19.95, and as of July 2010, it costs $6 to make changes or updates.
