Vinegar can help you train your cat.
Cats have sensitive olfactory senses, and certain smells will keep them at bay. Most cats detest the smell of vinegar, so it makes a great, eco-friendly repellent for your feline friends. Many cat owners use a vinegar solution to keep cats from using couches and draperies as scratching posts. When sprayed around the garden, vinegar keeps outdoor cats from chewing at plants and flowers. Also, spritzing a bit of the solution onto a naughty cat can help teach him or her behave.
Instructions
1. Fill a spray bottle with one part water and one part white distilled vinegar.
2. Shake the bottle to mix the liquids.
3. Test a small area of the fabric you want to spray. Spray the solution on an unnoticeable area to make sure the vinegar won't discolor the fabric.
4. Spray the solution on or around any items that you want your cat to stay away from, such as furniture, window dressings, the kitchen counter, the washer/dryer, etc.
5. Spray the solution on plant leaves to keep your cat from gnawing on or eating them.
