Dogs are great at making a person feel wanted and can offer companionship through tough times and protection during others. 1. Establish the birth date of the dog. For a newborn dog this is very simple, but for dogs that you have had for a while it is a little more complicated. Usually the best way to do it is just estimate the birthday from information you can obtain from a vet. You can make the date extra special by giving the dog the same birth date as family or passed away loved one.
2. Visit Internet sites that offer birth certificates for dogs. These sites generally offer a generic birth certificate with date and sometimes the name of the dog. See the resources section for more information.
3. Have a local printer make a customized birth certificate for the dog with more detailed information about the dog. You can use a human birth certificate as a pattern when you visit the local printer or graphics design company.
4. Submit the necessary information for the birth certificate either online or in person at the local print shop. You can be as detailed or generic as possible. If your dog is docile enough, you could even contemplate doing the paw print impressions just like on a human birth certificate.
