Rescue a Shih Tzu
While it is difficult to understand how people could neglect or mistreat a Shih Tzu in Michigan, it does happen. Most animal shelters in Michigan require a Michigan identification, a completed pet adoption application, three personal references, and veterinarian contact information with prepaid spay, or neuter fees and an adoption fee. While providing a home to any shelter pet is invaluable, consider rescuing a Shih Tzu from a kill shelter that the shelter would euthanize if not adopted within an established period. This kill policy includes pets that are considered too old, too sick or too aggressive for adoption.
